Mark R. Cummins, CPA, CFA, CCM
Chief investment officer
Mark Cummins directs the investment process and is the lead manager for the common stock portfolios.
Cummins joined Harleysville early in 1992
after 10 years at Selective Insurance, where he was vice president of investment and
treasury functions. Prior to that, his background was in public accounting. He has 20
years' experience in financial services and investments.
He earned a bachelor's degree in
accounting from Susquehanna University, and a master of business administration
degree in finance from Fairleigh Dickinson University. He became a Certified
Public Accountant in 1980 and earned the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation in
1987 and the Certified Cash Manager (CCM) designation in 1990.

J. Gary Morris, CFA
Senior fixed income portfolio manager
Gary Morris manages the fixed income portfolios, including U.S.
Treasuries and Agencies, Investment Grade Corporates, Mortgage-Backed Securities,
Asset-Backed Securities, and Municipal Bonds. Morris is responsible for research, trading
and monitoring results of the fixed income portfolios. In addition, he is responsible for
asset/liability matching for life and property/casualty investments.
Morris joined Harleysville in 1994 after
eight years with Royal Insurance, Charlotte, N.C. (the U.S. subsidiary of Royal Sun
Alliance U.K., a publicly traded company), where he served most recently as fixed income
portfolio manager. Previously, he served as a financial analyst in the property/casualty
division of A.M. Best Company, and as an analyst in the treasury department of AT&T. He
has over 14 years' experience in financial analysis and investments.
Morris earned a bachelor's degree in
political science from Bloomsburg University. He was the recipient of a Graduate
Business Fellowship and received a master of business administration degree in finance
from Fairleigh Dickinson University. He also holds the professional designation
Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), which he earned in 1993.

Margaret C. Patton, CFA
Equity portfolio manager
Peg Patton is responsible for research, trading and monitoring results of the equity
portfolios.
Patton joined Harleysville in 1998 after
seven years with the University of Delaware, where she was director of investments for the
University's Endowment Fund. She has 14 years of investment management and research
experience, including four years with Merrill Lynch in New York and Japan, and two years
in the investment department of Meiji Mutual Insurance Company.
She earned a bachelor's degree in romance
languages from Mount Holyoke College and a master's degree from the University of
Pennsylvania. She also holds the professional designation Chartered Financial Analyst
(CFA).

Audrey DeWolf, AIS
Investment analyst
Audrey DeWolf supports the senior fixed income and equity portfolio managers in their
day-to-day operations. DeWolf is also responsible for tracking performance, coordinating
all aspects of securities settlements, and coordinating company relationships with banking
institutions for custodian accounts. She participates in research activities, analysis of
company holdings and alternative investments, and prepares various investment analysis and reports.
DeWolf has been employed with Harleysville
since 1991. She joined the investment department in 1994 as an investment secretary and has
been in her current position since 1996.
She holds an associate degree from Gwynedd
Mercy College, and is currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in finance. Audrey has the professional
insurance designation Associate in Insurance Services (AIS).

James G. Faunce, CFA
Investment analyst
Jim Faunce supports the senior fixed income and equity portfolio managers in their day-to-day activities.
Jim joined Harleysville in 1999 after five years as a
mutual fund analyst with Miller, Anderson & Sherrerd LLP. Previously, he worked for SEI Corporation as an
international investment accounting supervisor. He has nine years of experience in financial services and
investments.
He earned a bachelor's degree in accounting from Ursinus
College and he holds the professional designation of Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA).

Patrick S. Shunk, CFA
Investment analyst
Pat Shunk is responsible for assisting the senior fixed income portfolio manager in the research and analysis of
Harleysville's fixed-income investments.
Pat recently joined Harleysville from Villanova University
where he was a research assistant. He has 10 years of experience in investments.
He earned a bachelor's degree in chemical engineering from
Cleveland State University and a master's degree from Villanova University. He also holds the professional designation
of Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA).

John Slater Jr.
Director of marketing
John Slater is responsible for marketing Harleysville Asset Management's investment management services to a variety
of investors, including insurance companies, pensions and high net worth individuals.
John recently joined Harleysville after three years as managing
director of Hampton Asset Advisors, LLC, an institutional marketing firm. Prior to that, he served as a senior marketer
to insurance companies for UBS Securities, LLC. He has 17 years of experience in financial services and investments.
He earned a bachelor's degree in economics from Hamilton College
and a master's degree from Columbia Graduate School of Business. He is a candidate for the professional designation of
Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA).
